Warped is a part of my "Space Trees" Series. I like the juxtaposition of life - big and small, near and far. I combine the close, relatable pieces of nature with the possibilities and elements of life in the universe. For this piece, I was inspired by Hubble's image of NGC 346 which contains about 70,000 stars and I combined it with an image of a warped tree trunk and its branches. The iridescent and metallic paints of this piece allows it to change color in different light and almost has a "water" feel to it.

Warped is a part of my "Space Trees" Series. I like the juxtaposition of life - big and small, near and far.
